Diamond has high hardness, but also high brittleness, so it should be used as an abrasive according to actual conditions. Generally speaking, the grinding ability of diamond is stronger, and it is suitable for cutting materials with high hardness. For general plastic materials, the effect of using diamond abrasives will not be much different. It will increase costs.

Abrasive is an indispensable material for the manufacture of every precision product. Many natural abrasives have been replaced by artificial abrasives. Except for diamonds, the properties of natural abrasives are not stable, but they still have their usefulness. Diamond is the abrasive with the highest hardness. It is produced mainly in South Africa, accounting for 95% of the world's total output, and the rest are Brazil, Australia, Guyana and Venezuela. Industrial diamonds range from off-white to black, and can be crushed to make grinding wheels, belts, polishing wheels and grinding powder.

The chemical composition of natural corundum is alumina, which is mainly produced in South Africa, and is used to polish and grind glass. Emery is also a natural form of alumina. Generally speaking, it is not as pure as corundum. It is mainly produced in Greece and Turkey. It is mostly used to make emery cloth or sandpaper. Garnet is used to make coated abrasives, and is mostly used in the wood and leather industries. Flint is often used to make sandpaper. Quartz is the earliest grinding wheel material, and it is still used to make tools and process glass. Pumice comes from volcanoes and is the raw material for making polishing powder. Diatomaceous earth is the ingredient of polishing powder and oil stone. Other natural abrasives include talc, silica, feldspar, chert and chalk.

Application

  1.  Coarse grinding: Before grinding, make the ditch and waterproof, and then fill the gap. After the waterproof effect comes out, use 50#, 150#, 300# dry grinding. 300# rear water spray grinding, 300#, 500# use diamond resin hard grinding block (do not use soft water grinding disc for rough grinding, it is prone to waves and affect the flatness). Remember that the water supply for rough grinding should not be too much. It is easy to use the spraying method. After each grinding disc is polished, use a mop to clean it. Thoroughly absorb the water. Check whether the deep cut left by the cutting edge grinding is worn off with 50# grinding discs. , Coarse grinding accounts for 45% of the overall grinding time, which is a key link to ensure the quality acceptance of the project.

    2. Fine grinding: waterproof after 800# and before grinding. After the waterproof effect comes out, use 1000#, 2000# diamond resin soft water grinding pads. Fine grinding takes up 35% of the overall grinding time. After fine grinding to 2000# The gloss can reach 50 degrees.
